A model for the protection of the Destitute The destitute are protected at Muhimmath. From the economically backward family children are selected and protected  providing food, accommodation, educational facilities. All the facilities provided for orphans are given to these students too. Muhimmath provided training in computer, type writing, tailoring etc for these children. There are other institutions for the destitute children -- this type ,having wide facilities are uncommon in Kerala.
